Our water meters are read each month between the 12th and 17th by a laptop. CWSC has installed new technology in all the meter pits over the past few years. Recordall Transmitter Register (RTR) from Badger Meter communicate through a patented piezo-electri, solid-state switch to privide accurate digital output. These are compatible with the Badger meters our distribution system began using several years ago. With no electrical contacts to stick, wear or corrode, the RTR provides years of reliable, accurate readings. They also provide accurate leak detection that notifies the meter reader of accounts that have potential leaks. The readings from the laptop are then downloaded and reviewed through our current billing program. The office will try to contact the customer when their name appears on the potential leak report.
